The MS Excel’s insert/Delete Cells and Cell Drag-and-Drop options are disabled
Cause :
Because of some macros few options becomes disabled from your excel
Example :
If you downloads ITR tax filing utility from “https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/e-Filing/Services/DownloadItrLink.html” link, this problem comes in excel files.
Major Problems 😖:
- Insert option get disabled
- Cut option get disabled
- Cell Drag-and-Drop option disables
Rectification Steps:
- If the problem is caused by India’s Income-Tax return ITR excel file, then renaming the .xlb file to .old works just fine for all options except Drag-and-Drop Down Cell
- Close all open Excel windows
- In Windows Explorer, go to directory “%appdata%MicrosoftExcel”
- Rename the file: Excel15.xlb –> Excel15.old
- for enabling Drag-and-Drop option follow below small step-
- Open Microsoft Excel.
- Click File > Options.
- In Excel 2007 only: Click the Microsoft Office Button Office button image , and then click Excel Options.
- In the Advanced category, under Editing options, select or clear the Enable fill handle and cell drag-and-drop check box.
